Is there anyway to increase the encoding speed? it seems like it is encoding at x2 the normal play speed , but is there a way to change it to x4 , x6 ,ect. ?

Can you provide more details about how you are encoding?
Hardware:
Processor(CPU) speed
RAM
Hard Drive type and speed
DVD/CD Rom speed
Software:
What encoding Software
Etc.. All of these things work together in the encoding process..
