    Specifying a filename for a file in recycle bin

    Hi all,

    I deleted a Microsoft Outlook 2003 file to the recylce bin and want to restore it. When i use restore i am told that i need to specify a filename for it, HOW DO I DO THIS?????

    If you right click the Recycling Bin and choose Open you should see all the contents.

    Right clicking the file in question will have a Restore option.

    Sorry if I am missing your point.

    If you are using a Restore feature from within Office there might be other issues.

    Thanks Jephree, you are missing the point slightly. I can access the recycle bin but when i click restore i get a message, stating, that i must specif a new filename for the file i want to restore and i do not know how to do that. Thanks for your help though.

    Is it a .pst file or...? Is it an Outlook Program File?

    Have you tried just right clicking it and choose rename?

    Then change from xyz.pst to newxyz.pst for example.
