Ive tryed Divx, Windows Media Player and Winamp and they all seem to just freeze up and crash on me before anyting is played at all. All other video files like wmv and mpg seem to play. *note* I havent had this problem before. xvids and all used to work just fine. Thanks for any help.

hi, i suggest you get k-lite mega codec pack, which apart from boasting hundreds of codecs, also has a built in media player called media player classic, which uses all those codecs properly.
