I plugged my memory stick in today and opened up a file. When I went to save my work I got a message that the disk was not formatted. The option to format came up but that all the exsisting data would be lost. How can I retrieve all the data?

This might be an indication of a failing device. What is the exact device? Make and model etc.

It is a disgo lite 2.0. I have been on their website and their help desks are only open during the week
