Microsoft Office 2003 - Problem With Inserting Picture!
Hello Everyone!
First I'd like to thank you for even opening this thread!
I have a problem with my Microsoft Word 2003. Whenever I want
to insert a picture into the document it doesn't seem to be inserted
properly. Once the desired graphic is imported I can't really see
it - all I can see is the "black border around it and those black resizing
squares in the corners". If I try to resize the picture it doesn't work.
Also all the options on the picture toolbar are unavailable. Once I click
on some white area of the document to "deselect" the image it simply
disappears - even if I click back in the area where the image was inserted
to it is not there anymore.
When I go to the print preview I see the image on it just the way it is suppose
to be. Also I have a document to which I have imported the images once
and when I just simply copy and paste between the old one and a blank document
the picture is visible! Even toolbar options work! So the problem is strictly with
the new documents.
Computer is running Windows XP Pro, MS Office 2003 (installing the latest SP didn't
fix the problem either). It is a Toshiba Satellite laptop.
Thank you very much for any response!

Have you tried switching between views in Word? I've no experience in Word 2003 but I know that, in previous releases, you'd see some types of entries into the document being displayed differently if you had the view on Normal, Online, Page Layout, etc. You might find that the view that you're in doesn't display pictures intentionally or because of a corrupt view on your PC or because of a bug.
In fact, on that note, you may want to download the latest Office 2003 service packs if you don't already have them. There may be a problem that has been fixed relating to this. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads
Hope that helps in some way
