my computer runs windows xp and i'm about to change broadband provider from ntl to wanadoo. Before set-up i have to disable any firewalls and anti-viral software. My problem is that the IT technician at the school where i work loaded some anti-viral software for me as a favour, but he has subsequently left. How can i discover what software is loaded and then disable it?

if you go start......settings........Control Panel ....Security Center.. click on virus protection it should tell you the name of the anti virus software
