Hi folks, I am having a bit of bother with a Toshiba Tecra 8000 laptop. I have reformated the HD because of Win98 SE problems. I restarted the computer so that I could start loading WIN 98 again however the computer now says "Invalide System Disc" and will not do anything beyond that. Do I need a startup disk? Can you please help?

you have to have one of the following when you turn the PC on... (That error means there is no OS on the hard drive) which is correct because you just formatted.

Recovery CD in the cd drive
Windows Install Disk in the cd drive
Windows Boot Disk in the floppy drive

If none of these work then your bios might have the boot order wrong like trying to boot from the hard disk before the CD drive....
