I have a Sony DV, and firewire. I remember a few months ago watching the video at full screen direct from the camera without capturing it first. Am I imagining things? (I have Moviemaker and Premiere).

Hi Donna, Welcome to D-A-L

Nope your not imagining things! Once the camera is plugged into the firewire port on the PC you should be able to put the camera into VCR (Viewing) mode then hit play and the video should stream straight though and play in the video software. Did you get a CD with the camera with some Sony software on it?
