Nod32 is fast becoming the best in class for AV software. I'm half way through the 30 day trail and defiantely going to buy it. In the last 10 years I've probably used 6 or so different AV's and haven't come across one as excellent as NOD32.

Here's Nod32 track record from Virus Bulletin.

You have to be a member, signup is free, to Virus Bulletin so if the above link doesn't display go ahead and signup and check how Nod32 compares to other AV's.

Different people have their own preferences and for a number of different reasons, though the ability to filter out the largest number of viruses should obviously always be your primary interest for anti-virus software, particularly in a server environment.

My preference is Symantec software. I use their Norton Internet Security anti-virus and firewall package at home and, at the office, I've deployed Norton Anti-Virus Corporate Edition throughout the network, including Windows 2000 and 2003 IIS web servers. Since implementing that three years ago, we haven't had a single virus on the network.
