Does anyone know how to change avi, mpeg, etc into DVD a bit faster than i am doing it now, i am using Nero and a movie of say 1 1/2 hours in length, takes about 5 hours to encode with my system which is a Celeron 2.4 mhz.
I know it isn't the fastest computor around but has to do for a while yet.
i would appreciated any advise,

I don't think there is anything to speed it up without comprimising quality. Video editing takes a very long time due to the large file sizes and the large number of frames. It might be worth leaving it to encode overnight.

I know Canopus Pro Coder will do the trick but it still takes anything upto 3 hours depending on the size of the file your converting. Then you need a program called TMPEG DVD Author to change the files to VIDEO_TS & AUDIO_TS files which takes approx 15mins to do then just burn them to disk. Pretty simple and it's the fastest way I know.
