A BEGINNER TO EDITING. I have Adobe Premier 6.5 and now a Sony DCR-PC350E digital video camera. My problem is I have some tape recorded on an older NTSC camera (now stolen and replaced with the new Sony) I was pleasantly supprised to find that the new camera will play both Pal and NTSC tape and will also transfer the pictures to the television for viewing.The problem I have is that I cannot seem to capture the NTSC video into 6.5 ,PAL is no problem. The on screen controls all work and I have tried I think all variations of settings within Premier 6.5.
Am I wasting my time or being stupid!!!
Any help and advice would be most welcome.

Sounds like Adobe is configured to capture to PAL and not NTSC. I don't actually use Premiere but is there a setting in the options somewhere to switch between PAL/NTSC or maybe when you go to capture is there an option?

Thank you I will investigate, I dont think there is an option to change when you go for capture. With my old camera which was only NTSC I had no problem capturing from it??!!
