sending a mail with a 25Mb attachment - how do I get rid of it

I've been trying to send an e-mail with a 25Mb attachment using normal e-mail accounts.

It failed, and I was able by closing down Outlook and starting it up to cancel the send, and then move the e-mail.

I have Hotmail setup within Outlook, and I tried to send it through Hotmail.
It failed again with attachment too big message.

This time I can't get rid of it out of the Outbox.

    Any ideas.

    Regards,

    Rannoch

Have you tried disconnecting your Internet connection first? Normally, when you can't delete a message from the Outbox, it is because it has already started sending it. If you drop the Internet connection, wait for the Hotmail server to time out and then close and restart Outlook, you should then be able to get rid of it

Failing that, try deleting the email address from the 'To' field. If it's got no-one to send it to, it should give an error next time it tries to send it and maybe you'll be able to delete it then.

Let us know if that helps

Disconnecting from the internet worked perfectly.

    Thanks again,
