.wav to mp3 and back again

    Hello
Its probably been asked before but i cant find answers in a search

What software is required to convert .wav to mp3 and vice versa. I have been using sound forge to do the latter but i takes time (one song at a time)

Also what about converting .wma to .wav

Im looking for some free reliable software, dont want much eh!

    Thanks

I use BladeEnc for ripping multiple WAVs to MP3 format. It's an old DOS program but it's fast, has enough options for most people and, because it's just a little DOS executable, you can add it to your "Send To" menu and that then allows you to highlight a big bunch of WAVs in Windows Explorer, right-click them and select "Send To > BladeEnc" from the context menu. Easy peasy.

Here's everything you could ever want to know about it (and a link to the download site): http://www.mp3-converter.com/encoders/bladeenc.htm

Try SoundTaxi - it's a nice one conversion tool which helps even to crack media protection... so you'll be able to operate your music easily.
