Messed up my computer
Seems my last post only took 1st line, my apologies if I confused anyone. Problem I have is - I tried to load Mcafee software with Norton running (Never was told I was too bright). Finally got restored to a point the computer worked again. Only problem was outlook won't work- keep coming up with "Failed to register a VB Script DLL. Reinstall or run Regsvr32.exe Vbscript.dll to self register. The key ‘Display name’ is either missing or has an incorrect value. [File C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 10\forms\1033\SECREC(2).CFG, Section Description]" I tried reloded office after uninstalling- no luck. Appreciate any help I can get.

Tried Jephree, no luck
Any other suggestions?

Do your other Office products work?
Open Word (for example) then click Help then Detect & Repair.
-
Everything works-except outlook.
Tried reloading (Nothing)
Tried repair (let me set up then came back with same message)
Tried start regsvr32vbscript.dll etc (says worked fine)
Tried someones program off the net to register (didn't do it)
Tried changing vbscript.dll to vbscript.dll.old (added new one, but didn't work)
Only thing I haven't tried is chicken blood and dancing around the computer, and I'm eyeing the neighbors chicken right now.
Sigh

Just to clarify:
When you say "Tried reloading" are you saying you did a complete uninstall/ reinstall of Office?
-
Thats correct.
I did a complete reinstall after doing a restore on my computer to fix problem started when adding mcafee.
I did a complete uninstall, then reinstall trying to correct dll problem.
I tried repair.
I did another totall uninstall, reinstall
Tried repair again.
That was the sequence of installs
I appreciate your efforts on this

Looks like they never got an answer there either.
Do you think reloading my operating system could fix the problem?

Do you have a full version XP CD?
You said: "I did a complete reinstall after doing a restore on my computer."
By restore do you mean a Clean Install from a full version XP CD?
Or are you refering to an OEM recovery?
Also: just to clarify: you have a the full version of Office CD's?
