    frustrated

After a recent trip, a friend of mine copied pics from everyones digital camera onto two discs..aprx 650 pics. They are all j.peg. I dont want to click on each one individually (thats all ive been able to do), but I cant import the info to any media player that i have.. I dunno what to do next! Ideally, i would like to be able to put them in a slideshow format. Any help??

    thanks,

    CD Slide Show Generator
With this PowerToy you can view images burned to a CD as a slide show. The Generator works downlevel on Windows 9x machines as well.

    jephree,

I have windows '98, i tried to download this but it said it was for xp only. is there no way I can change the j.peg format to something that will be accepted by one of my media players...so i can just send the files to it and not have to click, view, minimize, click view minimize--650 times? I don't really know much about computers, but it seems like there should be an easier way than what i'm doing.

    thanks for your help

Just curious at what point you are told it is for XP?

As it claims: "The Generator works downlevel on Windows 9x machines as well."

    How were these CD's generated?

I have XP & am not familiar with 98 but just for example if you put the pictures in My Pictures there is a slideshow option there. (At least in XP).
Also if I create a CD out of My Pictures file the CD will automatically load as a slideshow.

Is this not the case for you?

Is there a slideshow option under your My Pictures?

After I click on it to install it, and the install wizard comes up, I get a message that says "The powertoys require windows xp or a service pak. Will not function on a version of windows earlier or later than windows xp."

I'm not sure what you mean when you ask how were these CDs generated. Also, I do not have a slideshow option in My Pictures.

    From this search:

    http://groups.google.co.uk/groups?q=...t=0&hl=en&lr=&

I found this freeware but I cannot find an active link as it is so old:

    Focus 98 is a 32-bit slideshow/graphic image viewing tool for Windows 95/98.

    I did find this shareware:

    http://www.sharewarejunkies.com/03zwd2/image_master.htm

    Update! Found this:

Manual, automatic, random and multiple slideshow with background music.

Although this program will not "slideshow" your current CD's it will allow you to create a slideshow CD.

In other words you can copy your current CD's to your hard drive & then via this program create new CD's that will run as a slideshow.
