    Imaging and backing up files

    Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of a good piece of software that will make a good image of a drive / partition so that it can be loaded if the main files crash.

I've been looking at Norton Ghost so far, but I was wondering if there any others??

Note: I need to back up to separate 20gb partitions. One will have XP and the other will have SuSE

    Hey,

I know DJNafey (mod here) uses Ghost 2005 a lot, would be worth talking to him.

I have used Acronis TrueImage for 3 years and it's never let me down. Also, it's easy to use and understand. You can make an image of your Windows partition from within Windows itself and it restores Windows perfectly when required by means of a bootable floppy or CD-R which loads the TrueImage application in DOS emulation mode.

Yeah, funnly enough I just heard about that today at work. One of the lads has given me a disk to play with. I best start out on something small 1st, as I've only just set my PC up how I really want it.

    Cheers for all the info
