    Audio Management disc wont setup

I'm trying to re-install my audio speakers and sub, When I try to load the disc to set up I get an error message, Its Headed 'Incompatible operating system' "your operating system does not support USB" "To use USB, upgrade your operating system to windows OSR 2.1 or windows 98"
I,m on Windows XP with USB and USB2!!
Any one any ideas how I can get back to some full bodied sound, my speakers work but no sub or managment system to run it???

Altec Lansing ADA 305. They worked before I changed from XP Proffesional to XP Home(with SP2 update).

Just had a look at the Altec Website and they only offer drivers for Windows 98, so no separate driver for XP available.

This is what i found about a similar problem:

If using WinXP with these speakers, unplug the USB cable, there's no use for it. With it unplugged however, you can then adjust the different signals using the speaker's buttons. if your speakers are stuck in stereo mode as indicated by the yellow light, hold the center channel button for 3 seconds, this will change the mode to prologic. You can then Choose Center/Surround/Sub with their corresponding buttons and then adjust their levels with the dial. This all only works with the USB cable unplugged, or the computer turned off, so best to just free up that USB port until Altec Lansing gets off they're lazy a$$'s and makes some XP compatible software.
