    Move outlook info to new computer

    I've just puchased a new computer and want to move all of my Outlook 2002 data (email, calender and contacts) to the new machine with Outlook 2003. What the heck is the easiest way to do that?

    Both machines have XP Pro and both machines are running on a Peer to Peer.

    This is the site I see most often cited in Outlook searches:

    Outlook & Exchange/Windows Messaging Backup and Dual-Boot

    Although I do see it stated as simple as:

    "Try exporting the settings on the old pc to a file, copy that file to the
    new, and then try importing on the new pc."

    From this general search:

    microsoft.public.outlook

    Hopes this helps

    In case anyone else needs to know this;
    The short answer is to use the Import\Export Wizard (File -> Import and Export) and for the least amount of brain damage use the .pst (Personal File Folder) file type.
    Works like a charm!

    The only issue I ran across was a counter intuitive selection option when Importing your old outlook stuff... After picking File->Import and Export you have to "Choose an action to perform" the one that worked for me was "Import from another program or file"???
    If you read all the selectable options you'll understand why this selection doesn't make a lot of sence.
