Server Vs Printer!!
I'm running a Windows 2000 Server in a primary school with about 24 computers networked to it. Every so often any print jobs that come through to the laser seems to stick and then obviously when more print jobs come through they are jammed because of this one print job. The only way to clear everything is to shut down the server and reboot. It then gives you the option of cancelling the print job, then I'm able to clear it.
I have tried to cancel the job without having to shut down the server but it never works. The files that are printing are never specific to any one machine but from various ones around the school. Any ideas?

Hmmm... I get that problem with my home printer/pc too and have to reboot to clear it... an answer would help us both. I think I will have to gen up on this. Hopefully I will be back soon, or someone else will have the answer quickly.

Can nobody help?????????

Upon searching it appears that this happens on all platforms with all printers! And the solutions they gave? Turn off the printer, unplug the network cable and wait.
Sorry, I don't have any other idea
