Are there any recommendations or "don't touch" advice for disk cleaning and privacy software - eg window washer, cyberscrub, etc

I've tried many freeware programs over years, and while I'm always trying others, these two I've always kept and run regularly:

CCleaner (Crap Cleaner) is a fast, configurable cleaner of temp files, as well as a registry cleaner (under "issues")

index.dat suite is a viewer & deleter of not only temps but .dat files

Also both Spybot S&D and Adaware can be configured to find and delete temps & unnecessaries.
