Ok not sure if this is the right place for this thread or not but here goes. I have a problem when trying to open any of the media files that i downloaded from a couple of torrent sites. I can't run G-Spot, and any media player I have tried to open any of the avi files I have downloaded fail and generate error reports. The problem started a couple of days ago and I have searched the web for several nights looking for this problem but nothing has helped. I have come to the end of my knowledge and have updated all drivers and still have the same problem. The error generates an appcompat.txt file as well as closes down explorer which will also generate and appcompat.txt file. I ran hijackthis and this is what it shows:
