    Outlook 2k appearance problem.

I am having an issue with my outlook that I should know how to fix but I am at a loss to find it.

To Start, I am using Outlook 2000 Premium edition (part of Office 2000 Premium) with all service packs installed.
This is on a Dell Laptop (Lat D800 w/1.4ghz Processor and 30gig drive with WinXP Pro Sp2 and updated with all HF since SP2)

Here is the problem. When I reply to an email or forward an Email, it used to put a magenta or blue arrow on the message indicating a reply or forward and leave that message in the inbox. Now (started yesterday) it doesnt put the arrow on the message and deletes the Email after I hit send. I need these Emails for tracking purposes and I feel that its a simple answer but I am overcomplicating it. Thank you for all your help, past, present and Future.

For future reference, if it happens again, the answer is likely to be in the Options screen on the Tools menu.
