I think you should edit this post pronto - You've just given me your windows XP product ID.

As for hacking your PC/notebook I'd have to be a magician if it's not plugged into the internet, and besides I think (black hat) hackers are sad gits (apols for language) and besides that thing you have is hardly a PC.

See my earlier post for how to get your model details, we got the make - that's a Sony VIAO - failing that, look around the case for a label VIAO 123456-pro II or summat.

Registering is not overly important - it just gets us support from Sony easier.

And.... have you looked for those files I mentioned?

I did try those file searches and it uncovered over 100 for one of them. I don't know exactly what to look for. Sorry I am probably getting on your nerves.
