I need help with my msn messenger 6.2v, I have lately bought a microphone to use the audio feature with but when I try to connect to my friend who lives abroad (europe) it fails to connect. However, sometimes I am able to establish a connection but I have to configure my settings in order to hear my friend. Sometimes I can see my own green bar but not theirs and the same with them, they can see their green bar but not mine. To solve this problem I have to keep going to the volume control in the task bar menu and by clicking on the options (mic boost/mic2 boost) I am able to hear them but this is not reliable can anyone help? or give me advice? The mic I am using is built into my webcam and I connect it via USB port, maybe this could be the problem?

check for and if need be update your drivers if you are still having problems get back to me
