Hi, a CD-RW CD is a Compact Disc Rewritable. Whats the difference between CD-R and CD-RW? One is rewritable, one is one time write only and CD-RW cost a little more per disc. To copy data from one disc from another, you need either alcohol 120% or another CD-ROM drive. Alcohol creates a 'virtual drive' so you can play a CD without the actual CD in the drive. Now you need a burning software, if my memory serves me right alcohol 120% also burns CD's. Simply insert a blank CD in the CD-RW drive then options pops up with what you want to do. You need a CD burning program if you dont already have it to do so, most popular is Nero. It lets you burn off your CD-ROM drive, make data/information disc, burn VCD's, MP3's, and more. If you want to copy a disc, just insert it in another CD-ROM drive, or as I mentioned before, copy the info to a virtual drive with alcohol 120%

No I mean like if I have a Text file or picture....how do I save it to the cdrw??? Like a Floppy???

First you need a burning program, i perfer nero.
In that burning program, make a 'data disc' then it lets you burn almost anything to that disc (pictures, text, media, ect.)

Depending on what's already installed on your PC, you might also be able to right-click the CDRW drive in Windows Explorer and see a Format option on the context menu. Doing a full format (which I think you have to do the first time that disc is used) takes about half an hour on most drives.
You can then copy and paste, drag 'n' drop, etc in Windows Explorer from your floppy driv or hard drive onto the CDRW drive.
