    Word Auto Correct File

    Hi
I use Word's auto correct file a great deal, but every new release of WOrd wipes out the old file. I have about 1500 specialized auto corect tags that I use consistently that relate to my translating chinese medical journals, articles and classical works. Does anyone know how to pass the auto correct file on to a new version of Word without having to re-enter all these items all over again.

MS Knowledge Base article gives the details you require

In short you are looking for .acl files

This appears to have been true in the past; however, tehre are no such registry files that I oucld find, meeting those requirements in Word 2000although they existed in Word 97. So I do not know where to go from here.
    Thanks for your reply however.

Hi Jim, sorry that didn't help. Try this link instead. You should be able to get the relevant details for Word 2000 or 2002.
