Skywatchers set for meteor shower
Skygazers are preparing for the high point of the annual Perseid meteor shower. The shower, which reaches its peak on Wednesday, occurs when the Earth passes through a stream of dusty debris from the comet Swift-Tuttle.
As this cometary "grit" strikes our atmosphere, it burns up, often creating streaks of light across the sky.

I have seen these showers at my ranch in the country over the last years because the skies are crystal clear there. Went outside early this morning while dark and the skies here in Pecos were overcast so no joy here.

Supposed to be cloudy tonight in South East as well (UK) so probably won't see much.
