hey i see in ur signature saying u play gta iv .. i am buying a new pc nearly and i wanted to run that game.. does the 8600 gt run it good?

GTA:4 was a freaking pain in the ass to run. They had to release 3 ruddy patches before the port was even CLOSE to acceptable on my computer, and turning down all the options and running on the lowest reso still gave me choppy framerates.

GTA:IV is a hit and miss in my opinion. Some people brag about how great it runs on their PC and how beautiful it is. Many others complain about the same issues I'm facing.

I'd say... show the specs before considering it. Just 8600GT itself? Well... you could run it. Won't be the prettiest I believe. Gotta be a lil lucky too. I'm considered lucky because I managed to run the game when it first came out without some weird error.

You need a quad core CPU and a powerful video card with at least a gig of video RAM to get GTA IV to run smoothly on higher settings.

Running it problem-free with a Q6600 and GTX 275 at 1680x1050 here.
