I still find it hard to believe that I can walk outside with a simple t-shirt and sweater at -3c and say that it's warm. Lol.

My gosh I'm going to suffer terribly when I go back to Malaysia...

Somebodies else perspective on Pirates from Somalia and why things are the way they are. Doesn't mean I agree with him, but it was a interesting read.

Hmm that Johann Hari article about pirates is an interesting lead. However I can't shake off the feeling that it's not convincing enough. Possibly because of the sources he cited? Not too sure though...

Whatever the background I guess they are on the main stage now:

    Google News

They say this was the first act of piracy against an USA vessel since the 1800's.

The early history of my current abode dates to a large pirate population at about that time when briefly Key West was the wealthiest city in the US per capita largely due to piracy and salvaging. We have a handy reef to wreck your ships.

Also this scenario is so intriguing to spectators and I do not diminish the real lives of the people involved nor family and friends but just to imagine:

an 18 foot boat with no power

    4 "bad" guys with guns

    1 "good" guy helpless

Overhead we have drones and helicopters while within distance are two of the most massive warships ever built.

This is the stuff of classical drama.

Anyway I am intrigued by the whole situation.

    Hope all ends well.
