Left 4 Dead

Re: Left 4 Dead
Captain Mazda and I are both on the PC. The PC version has to be registered with Steam. I'm not too sure if you can play it with Xbox users though...
-
I don;t have an xbox so i'd be playing PC too. Can i have a link please, i have no idea what i'm looking for about this demo. Thank yoooou
-
Oh damn. I kept searching for it and now I realized what's wrong with it. No more demo now that the full game is out... Nuuu...
-
I see, well, if it has to be registered with Steam I'm sure they're too tight to let it work with Xbox, and vice versa. All of my experiences with Steam and CAL and assosiated companies seem to love their money and really love their security! I used to game more on PC since I fully upgraded my PC, but almost no good games come out for PC anymore and what does is out for consels and usually runs smoother on them (depending on what's in your computer of course, but then you have to have the latest and greatest technology!), so my finely tuned machine just collects a lot of dust now as far as gaming goes. Left 4 Dead seems pretty cool, I played the demo, but it hardley seems worth a full price tag, I think their should be at least double the modes for that price!

Oh... One of the things about the demo was that they didn't include the Versus modes. I think the versus mode will be where the game keeps people hooked on. Only thing about the versus mode is that it offers only 2 out of the 4 campaigns. But still, I spent about 2 and a half hours on Versus yesterday lol.
Games for the PCs have taken a different turn lately. Many developers deciding to go console. Sometimes it does seem like PC gamers are getting the back end of the deal, with game releases on the PC either slow (Grand Theft Auto 4 anyone?) or totally non-existent (Star Wars Force Unleashed?) but oh well...
Well, back to the point, Left 4 Dead is VERY multiplayer focused. If you're not going to play online with people, then it might not be too good an idea. But if you're sure you will be, I'd say the experience is quite memorable. Grab a bunch of friends, play together, and when you work well together against a horde of Zombies or against the opponent's Special zombies... =D
Edit: OH! Non-official mods! For the PC! Like... George Romero's Dawn of the Dead Crossroads Mall?

Agreed and agreed. But if you look at other multiplayer games they seem to have a lot more depth and options so people don't get bored and can develope their favorite maps and what not. With such small content, even with the AI changing everytime and playing with different friends, the entertainment still seems like it would become mundane after not too long. I could really see this game taking off more if they do add more downloadable maps and other content to the game.

2 1/2 hours
I definately don't have that much time to spare and once i get hooked there's no hope for me on the game... Go on then, twist the knife.

Zombies don't know how to use knives... They BITE! Lol.
Well, if you do decide to get it do drop me a message xD. I'm still on the lookout for gaming buddies. Hehe.
