Re: not my lucky day today!!

Over here we call them ****heads too, and we have industrial courts. But frankly, I've always thought the best way to deal with a b'stard boss is walking away.
If people weren't conned by their own fears these characters would soon have to change their ways - or get used to the sight of an empty workplace!
Thanks for the vote of confidence, b2.

Hope it all goes ok for you Paul

I hate bully bosses, once worked for one,
( well, a couple really, but he was by far the worse),

T'was a textile mill and he worked us like slaves, bellowing, intimidating etc. This was years ago so no minimum wage or laws or owt.Lads would come and go,some lasting less than an hour, the abuse was so bad..
I walked out after 4 months thinking, what a w@nker.

Then i heard he kept getting burgled......then someone killed his guard dogs!!......
then his mill burnt down, and his insurance wasn't up to date

    Disgruntled former slaves?

Gotta love Karma - what goes around comes around / you reap what you sow

Wish you well in your future employment

    Great story UKD!
I had one boss a few years back who wasn't abusive, he was just plain pharquing stupid. Most gullible twit in the world, fell for any swindler who could sit in one place and talk nonstop for an hour. He got caught up in a scam called Skybiz and enjoyed joshing me because I didn't jump in behind him. Then it all went pear-shaped and he lost his loot.
He could be a pompous b as well and I basically spent my last month on his payroll getting about two hours sleep a night. I was so wound up over his bs it nearly drove me mad. Finally I decided enough was enough and I got up in the middle of the night and wrote a killer resignation. I went in to work as usual the next day and dropped it on his desk. He wasn't in - the plan was to make a quiet unnoticed exit. But I was just about to back the car out when he arrived and
    parked directly behind me.
I sat there a moment and then said, to hell with it. He didn't actually see me leave, and my last sighting of him was his big stupid fat backside out in the breeze as he reached in for his briefcase. I don't know what it would have been like in there when he opened that envelope; I should have rigged a camera before I left!
I've sometimes wondered if that letter had a hex on it. It just rolled out of me - and I heard about 18 months later that he'd sold the business. Staff problems, strangely enough.

EDIT - I'll probably be bashing the neighbourhood with this song for a couple of days. Not entirely appropriate to my situation, but close enough.

It would seem the youtube clip is no longer available... darn!

Great stories all of you! It would seem you've all been choosing the daft bosses. I'll keep these stories in mind for when i begin my future career... i'll soon be able to spot an idiot a mile away!

Ps. "Reason?" you completely read my mind

We don't actually choose daft bosses, k9. The problem is that they are in such oversupply that they make the good ones hard to find.

Don't know what's going on with the youtube link, cuz the clip is still there!
I'll try linking in the old fashioned way.

EDIT - I notice a message on the youtube page that embedding has been disabled by request. That must be why the first link didn't work.

    Very happy

This link worked, thanks. I don't think your neighbours will be very happy if you have it playing for the next week or so!

As for me, this is my favourite song. Serj Tankian... lie lie lie...

Interesting chap. Kind of a Satanic Borat, wouldn't you say? Or should that be, Boratic Satan?
I watched Empty Walls as well. Plenty of references to be spotted in that.
