Hi Paul sounds as if you have landed on your feet well done and home earlier than your last job as well.

Hi bootneck, nothings held up (well apart from the contract signing because the manager of my training provider is away on holiday)

I accepted the offer last thursday, going back (to pilkingtons) next week to serve the last week of my notice (which is the final week of the trial) then pilkingtons are taking over from there

I'm just glad im with a decent company, not left out of work for any amount of time and my money goes up with the others in september!!

Great news, so no dole money then, that is a relief. They certainly sound a good company to be employed by and see potential in you and prepared to adjust their timescales to accommodate you. GOOD LUCK

too young for dole money anyway, so it would have been a case of getting a job in a supermarket or something untill september and then go to college

and yes, it realy is a good company to work for, friendly staff, freindly and reasonable management, 36,000 employees, operating in about 15 countries producing 60% of the worlds flat glass!!!

and of course, they pay well when i finish my apprenticeship, i start off on about £31k (can increase with promotions/working abroad/experience/skills/qualifications)

Another win yesterday - a Melbourne friend and I have agreed on terms for her to use one of my fractals in her business literature.

We're doing it all proper-like; I've drawn up a licence agreement and took it to work today so I could have my new boss witness my signature. This is the lady who interviewed me last week, and I mentioned in my resume that I did some fractal art at RB. While she was putting her moniker on the line she told me she'd had a quick look when she called me to arrange the interview. Now if I can just get her into one of my T-shirts...
