    smiley

the text smiley is 25 years old today

the two original text smileys, :-) to indicate a joke and :-( to mark things that are not a joke were invented on September 19, 1982 by Scott E. Fahlman, a research professor at Carnegie Mellon University's Department of Computer Science.

Mr Bill? I remember seeing some really warped cartoon called "Get Well Soon, Mr Bill." He was a little plasticine man who was kind of unlucky as I recall.

    O no! Mr. Bill ...

I think it started as a Saturday Night Live animated skit back when I was young.

Mr. Bill would go through adventures and always end up getting literally smashed. Someone would always say: "O no! Mr. Bill ... "

I think Kenny from South Park was a reincarnation of the Mr. Bill spirit. "O no! They killed Kenny!"
