    Car CD player

I have here a car CD player. However, I am not old enough to drive so havnt got a car! I was wondering if there was an adaptor available to plug it into the mains for power? there is phono out at the back so I would connect my speakers to there

If not, does anyone know what voltage they require?? or does it depend on the make?

nevermind, Its 12V and the max current is 15A (that could give a nasty shock!!).... do you know if i can get an adaptor though?

nevermind, being resolved on an electronics forum

    Thanks

Edit: looks like it is going ahead and for only about £16 (power supply) i'm using my own amplified speakers plugged into the phono outputs..... I only need to solder/attatch 3 wires to the power supply
    Constant 12v
Switched 12V (so the player comes on when key is turned, i'm going to have it on whenever the socket is switched on)
    and ground (0v)

I will perhaps make a perspex case for it maybe with a few lights

Now got it working using a PC power supply

    Here are some pics:
1st time I tried it (uning my PC's power supply):

2nd time I tried it (spare power supply):

I am sorting out a perspex case for it.... I have cut out the top, bottom and 2 sides and have ran out of perspex I might just use wood painted black as i don't want to spend alot on this project

I will also sort out some LED lights as well (maybe sound activated, maybe not.... I will see what the complications are

Only problems so far are 1) the radio doesnt work (needs antenna) and 2) I don't have a CD-rw to make CD's!!!
