I have a Rotel CD player for the loungeroom, it's about five years old. I've noticed recently that it's starting to skip. At this point it seems to be random, and the skipping happens only a few times when it starts. After that, it's okay, but I suppose the problem will get worse rather than better.
Does anyone have any DIY solutions, or am I looking at a trip to the repair shop?

try a CD lens cleaner there may be dirt/dust etc on the lens
