build it my self, I can put what I want ans upgrade when I want.
I'll probably have my next one custom built, but that is years off into the future.
I compare whats available from Dell and stores like Best Buy. Talk to a few computer buddies and probably build the next from scratch to get what I want.
i'd build my own. my last experience with Dell and Compaq werent really that good.
i'd build my own (which i have baisically already done but in stages) I have upgraded the RAM, CD drive (which has now been downgraded because the DVD RW broke) replaced the fans, replaced the front panel, upgraded the PSU, replaced the motherboard and IDE cables.... the only thing that came with the origional computer and is still how it arrived is the CPU and heatsink!!!
My Husband builds all ours, except our laptopsIf people ask us though, and they're noobs, we point them in the direction of Dell or PC world. We also advise them that these places have good support and not to phone us

hahaha. apparently most people prefer building their own if capable. wise choice. lol.
up till now no one has asked me to help. but if they do... $$$ *kachink kachink*
hehe.
I would look around to get some ideas and then probably build a custom computer.
