    Login problems when logged in

    Anyone have this problem, you login to the site with no problems and you go to post, reply, preview or submit your message only to receive the vBulletin message you have to login even though you logged in 10 minutes before.

    This doesn't seem to be a cookie or browser problem, I don't have the box checked to block first, third or session cookies, I added DAL to my privacy settings always allow and popup blocker setting to allow, so if Internet Explorer blocked this for some reason I have the box checked - show info. bar when a popup is blocked that would tell me something was wrong, but when I get the message to login their is no info. bar or no sound Windows makes when blocking a popup, so I think it has to be something else. What and why this happens, I don't know.

    So, if anybody experienced a problem like this would you please let me know how you fixed this problem or what you think could be causing this to happen. I think it might be a security/permission thing.

    Thanks

    Hi DJDK;

    When you say sign in I take it you mean my user name and password.

    User name is 8 letters and password 8 letters, What would you suggest?

    The problem doesn't seem to be logging in, the problem "IS" trying to reply, preview, submit, or post a message as soon as I hit one of those buttons I'm asked to login. I have no idea! Why this is happening or what would cause this kind of problem, I will tell you this before I post this reply I will have to login again. What would cause clicking one of these buttons to log a person out and Why? doesn't anybody else on the forum have this problem?

    The admin. is aware of the problem and doing everything he can to solve the problem, we have discussed this in length the forum is doing nothing that would cause this kind of problem.

    Since you are the only one to reply to this post, what do you think would cause this, do you think any of these apply browser, cookies, permission, security or a program. This website is the only site that is on everyone of my Allow Always lists and yet I still have to login whenever I post a message.

    Their doesn't seem to be a way to solve this problem because the only error message is the one I get from the forum. When I check application, security or system logs no error messages are reported, if one of my programs or firewall caused the problem it would be listed in my logs and Nobody else on the forum have this problem.

    So, if we take this problem and pull it apart... Login = ok, reply = error, preview = error, submit = error, post = error.

    Popup blocker = ok, Privacy = ok, Browser = ok, Cookies = ok, Firewall = ok, Programs = ok.... How do you troubleshoot something like this?

    In the begining of my message I said " I will tell you this before I post this reply I will have to login again" well I have edited my post 3 times before submitting and did not have to login.

    Hi DJDK;

    No I don't the message is the basic login message type user name and password, I put a check mark in the box remember me.

    Today for whatever reason I did not have to login even after I posted this message, I talked to David and no settings were changed in the forum or on my machine, so I don't know why today I'm having no problems

    Whatever caused this seems to be gone, Gee I wish you had an icon of a ghost I could use one right now.
