As i am in university i get a free copy of vista, and all other M$ products thats on MSDN. we do not quallify for most of office though, allthough its expected we will soon,
no, sticking with XP (lack of money and 2nd job!!) lol
I like XP Pro, so Im gonna stick with it a little longer, want to master everything about it first before thinking of going to Vista![]()
I've got Vista evaluation copy I use sometimes.
XP does everything I need at the moment.
I will not simply because the EULA will only allow ONE hardware upgrade.
This may be the operating system for the next decade and I am not going to stick to a decade old motherboard.
Otherwise I probably would get it.
unlike me i get all the updates i need for 3 years atleastThanks to my being able to get multiple liscence keys

Im not really sure, i mean it "Looks Slick" with its aero interface and such and the extra little things like desktop search and gadgets but these operations can be easily emulated with already existing freeware, such as google desktop and others. In fact the only things that appeal to me about vista is that fact that it will be the only OS to have DirectX10 support so i guess i will be forced to buy it if i want to continue running the latest games, though i have heard of some serious issues with the display drivers included in the OS. I think waiting until they have ironed all the bugs out first would be the best option.
Xp4me.
I already have it for professional reasons and was able to get the Home Premium too, at a different place not here. My main OS's will remain 5 Linux distro's and XP Pro SP soon-to-be-3. Had the Beta 1, RC1, RC2 builds earlier and I wasn't fond of them apart from DX10 and a little bit of Aero. I'm not partcular about the desktop "look", as I usually tweak that much anyway, but care about security, stability, performance, capacity, capability, compatibility, technologies and overall ease.
Vista fails in these for me and until I upgrade my slowest but most important (in my eyes) system: a AMD 1.3GHz, I won't be using it much.
There will be endless issues with it for a while.
