I was just looking at it and was thinking of trying it. It is Beta software. This note stopped me from trying:

Known Bugs in Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Preview:

Repair Install of WinXP does not work after Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Preview is installed. Remove all versions of Internet Explorer 7 before you attempt to run Repair Install. (See section on Uninstalling IE7.)
    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/IE/...aredirect.mspx

Although my XP has just been freshly loaded on a new machine I hate to be without the Repair Install option. If you cannot boot into XP for some reason how can you uninstall? Otherwise I would try it. It looks good.

I haven't tried it yet but I already have thoughts on it from going through the online demo!

The tabs idea could be useful. If I'm searching for a product on the web, or researching a problem to answer someone in the forum, I'll open each link in a different window and end up with a load of IE windows on the taskbar that end up going off the bottom of the screen so that I have to scroll the taskbar and all of the taskbar buttons only display "http://www..." because they're so small. Tabs could help.

I like the idea of the search bar being switchable for whatever your preferred search engine is, including Google. But I wonder how secure it's going to be in IE7. Is it going to make it easier, harder or no difference for CoolWebSearch and all that lot to register themselves as your preferred search engine?

Favorites Center. Erm ..... Favourites aren't anything new are they?!

Protection from phishing sites. Brilliant concept. Just as long as it doesn't get over-excited and block me from getting onto my online banking web site, my secure shares site, Hotmail, etc, etc!

Automated prevention of running potentially dangerous scripts and applications. Oh bugger. I'm bright enough to know what I want to run without some fella in Microsoft coding in the fact that I can't run it even if I want to.

All things considered, I'll probably put it on a spare test PC if one is lurking around for a while but the chances are that I'll end up sticking with IE6. Until the day after the release version is made available, at which point Windows Update will force me to install it along with XP Service Pack 3, lol !

I really want to try IE7. Sadly, I can't. Are they going to make a version for ME?

I like checking out new technology.

I like the tabs, i use Firefox/opera mainly because they have tabs

I'm going to wait until they have tested it and fixed any bugs. I only use I.E for microsoft (some pages wont work in firefox) and jaydiocity (used to work on firefox, doesnt now though)
