    worst car?

we quiet often how how good certain cars are... IYO what's the worst modern car you've drove??

My worse car has to be my transport for the past week, and untill my car is repaired (had my first car crash for over 20 years)

It's tiny has an oval badge on the front, 2 letters and ck missing off the end, the brakes are the worst in any vehicle I've ever drove (Even a D series ford lorry was better). I've been driving over 20 years even had an allegro (complete with square wheel). Basic is not the word for it, but it does get from A-B (can't stop when it gets there tho')

LOL, I have to say I haven't had the pleasure of driving a Ka yet! I've had various poor hire cars for business over the years though.

The most disappointing was a Vauxhall Meriva. What the hell is it supposed to be?! It's shaped like a small van and you have to step up into it. Yet, inside, it's supposed to be a car. And under the bonnet, it apparently has a moped engine. Seems that Vauxhall couldn't make their minds up about what to make. A few us at work ended up getting one at some point and we complained so much that, in the end, the admin girls that booked the cars had to specifically say to the hire car company "under absolutely no circumstances deliver a Meriva because the guys refuse to drive it" !!

We also had a Mercedes A-Class as a company pool car. That was naff for all the same reasons, except that the 1.4 engine had a bit more go in it. But why do they make "cars" these days that stand 8 feet off the ground and almost fall over every time you go round a corner? I really can't understand the UK's fascination with mini-MPVs - they're the worst of every type of vehicle all bundled together in an ugly package!

Nafey my dad had a Vauxhall Meriva when his new car got delayed, they offered him that for 2 weeks, and i agree its horrible, not to mention i couldnt get in the dam thing, and when i finally did my feet didnt touch the floor when i sat down...

    how did you guess?

for 2 days I did have an Astra but it had to go back, my own car's an Astra 1.6 estate and I can't wait to get it back, my last car was a picasso, felt very unstable going round corners.

Mercs are very high quality, especially once you move up the range. Definately a league above BMW's in my opinion.

D-A-L, you would say that - what's your dad just bought?! How comes you're not sharing the horror stories of some of the awful cars you've owned, lol ?

i guessed it was a ka, because u told me the other day HEHE!!!!!

we had a merc clk, and the engine knocked and that was a "feature of the engine" after threatening them with court action for a few months , dad managed to regect the car, and they replaced it, with one that badly pulled to the right, and that was a" a feature of the gearbox and stearing" long story short "top gear" interveined and we got that replaced with an e cass, which reverse lights refused to go off, even when going forwards at 70 down the motar way, Merc could'nt tell him why, adn 7 trips to the garage later, they couldn't fic it.......so eventually dad sold it, and lost alot of money,

Needless to say we will never have another merc.
