    Thumbs down The moaning thread.

I have had enough of washing machine repair men to last me a lifetime.
Tuesday 5th sept...... machine was making a racket like something was rubbing on the drum. I phoned indesit and they said they were coming out the next day.

Wed 6th sept... Phoned indesit to check they were still coming. They said someone had been booked to come out in the morning the day before. I said they would have had a job to get someone out the day before seeing as I only phoned them in the afternoon. They finally found out that someone was coming out that day and they would phone me back. They didn't phone back but the repair man knocked the door 10 mins later.
He said the machine needed a part called the spider housing but he would have to order it. I asked how long that would take as we will be moving house very soon. He said the office would ring me and it should only be a few days.

Friday 15th Sept..... I phoned the office seeing as they hadn't been in contact with me. They said someone is coming out on the 19th.

Monday 19th Sept.... Got up all exited thinking it was finally going to be fixed. Repair man phoned me at 8.30am saying he had forgotten to order the part. I was furious, he said he was sorry and he would come out on Thursday 22nd.

Thursday 22nd Sept....... Bloke came out, couldn't fix it. He said it was the heater rubbing on the drum and he would have to order one. I said we won't be here as we are moving house miles away. He said I will have to phone the office and arrange for a different engineer to come out. I phoned them and they arranged for one to come to the new address on Thursday 29th between 8am and 1.

Thursday 29th Sept..... waited in all morning and he didn't show up. I phoned the office and they said he will be out in the afternoon. He turned up at about 5pm. The heater that had been ordered was the wrong one. He said the heater wasn't the problem anyway as something was rubbing on the drum when there was no heater in there. He said he would have to order a new drum. I asked how long that would take and he said it will probably be no longer than a week.

Thursday 5th October........ phoned the office again seeing as they hadn't been in touch with me. They hadn't even ordered the drum. They said that the engineer thought he had ordered it on his pc but it didn't go through. Funny that seeing as he didn't bring his laptop with him as he said it was being mended. They said they would order it for me then and gave me a date for the 14th October.

Friday 14th October...... engineer came out (one that finally seemed to know what he was on about.) They had ordered the wrong drum. He said he would have to order a new one and a new door seal and heater. He is coming out on Monday 24th October.

By the time it is finally fixed the motor will have probably seized up and I will end up needing one of those as well. It would have been cheaper for them just to give me a new machine with the amount they charge for call outs. If I didn't have the machine insured it would have been easier to just buy a new one. I have never seen such a disorganised company in my life.

RANT OVER (for the time being anyway.)

I have felt like doing it believe me. The trouble is it's a different repairman that comes out each time, and blames the previous one for messing up.
