Meet Mr. Floatie

Politicians are no strangers to looking for dirt, but today, NDP leader Carole James had the dirt looking for her. An issue which has dogged the capital region for almost 30 years came to the surface.

The public was introduced to Mr. Floatie, from People Opposed to Outfall Pollution, or POOP, who are steaming that Greater Victoria pumps raw sewage into Juan de Fuca Strait.

But Mr. Floatie only flushed a partial commitment out of James, who said she would go after federal infrastructure funding to wipe out the problem.
