Angry Re: Upgrade or buy new?

lol your on. ill call u when the db9 gets here...
( we dont even have the jag now, its suspention error light keeps coming on, so jag has came and picked it up for repairs, which means dads taken my car, so im bound to the house for a few days)

and being stuck in the house, means ill spend more time on the new pc.. or not, because the new ones broken! and for once i didnt break it, they built it wrong

*on verge of throwing it out of window*, i thought i posted this already, but my post apears to have gotten lost in the mail so here it is again

i thought as an "investment" id buy myself half life 2 for the new pc... which i installed and was loving ( and the grapgics were pretty damn impressive).

untill about 15 min in when it crashes and screen goes to standbuy .. *press and hold power button * system reboots and the pc throws me an error message ( somthing about the graphics card not getting enuff power and it reducing its settings) load game again... crashes again and does same thing...

i looked at the temp settings on the graphics card and its clocking up a good 90deg!!!!
which ok i know nothing about pc's, but that cant b healthy, so ive called evesham and told them, and aparently they know "exactly whats causing it, and theyll call monday to arange a technition" (from what ive read through researching, it needs an external power supply???)

in the mean time i rolled back to the older drivers ( id updated em before installing the game), which reduced the temp to about 65-75 and reduced all the graphics settings to low, hoping that by not sucking as much out of the graphics card it wouldnt crash... or atleast would crash less, which infact worked... for about 2 hours when it crashed again and again and again, i turned it off and let it cool off for a few hours. but still no better i now i cant even get 15 min of gameplay out of the damn thing... atleast the error message dosent show any more, but then again nothing does.

Even on the older drivers, the temps gradually going up even when im just online like i am now, and up and up. so ive limited using the thing to an hour at a time, so it dosent melt until the tech guy somes out and fixes it, oh and no more games.

The other problem being, it has 2 dvd rw drives, yet the pc seems to have the memory of a goildfish, and keepsforgetting the 2nd ones there, no matter what i do it dosent have a clue.

evesham called me back about and hour ago, and cant get a technition out for over a week!!! which i think is terrible, since they built the flipping pc wrong! took longer than they said to ship it to me in the first place, and now i cant use the friggin thing
    "deap calming breaths*

Therefor there getting a lovely shirty email from my dad, and imma get a bus to town and do some retail therapy.

    Blimey, what a bad start

What's your warranty agreement with Evesham? Taking over a week is RUBBISH ! Why on earth is it going to take them so long - have they been building far too many faulty systems recently?!

Whilst you're in town, see if you can pick up one of those little mini fridges - stick your PC in that and it might last longer, lol Hope the therapy works out for you

yeah its terrible service if you ask me, i didnt speak to them, i was in the shower when they called or i would have gven them what for, my mum answered, and then phoned my dad and told him, then dad phoned evesham and yelled at them, then dad called me and told me lol...i called sat and they said well call monday, and there coming out next mon, so 10 days in total for them to come out... i checked my warantee it says theyll come out and fix any faults however caused, but they dont give a timeframe.

ive been playing my game on and off all day... so much for no games, ive decided if i fry the thing, eveshams problem, the bloke on the phone said " you can still use the system, just dont play games for 2 long at a time if you think thats causing it 2 overheat" well how longs a piece of string, im just making sure when it freezes up ( or boils) i leave it to cool down for an hour or so.
there backed up from easter aparently, coz they were closed ( the exact same reason why my pc arived 2 days late in the first place) on the other hand, dads got his car back, and jaguar denys that the breaks are squeeling ( despite the extreemly loud squeel as he pulled out the garage) and they found no problem with the suspention ( despite the warning light) and told him to "see how it goes"

needless to say, hes in a fowel mood, and sitting downstairs complaining like victor meldrew about anything and everything ( hense why im up here)
on the upside, worked called and wants me to do overtime every day this week, so more money more money,, and since my store ( matalan) sale starts wed, and im pricing up att he sale goods 2morrow night, i intend on getting a trolly and filling it up,m and placing it in the the staf holds section till the sail oficcially starts and sepending all that overtime pay.

    so hows your day been?

Fair enough - if it's their advice, who are you to question it?!

That's the problem with modern cars these days - almost every bit of them is packed with techno-wizardry and gadgets that mere mortals like human Service Technicians can't work out how to fix them any more

bit of everything, kids clothes, womens and mens brand name clothes, and homewear garden stuff basically a bit of everything

i never used to shop there untill i discovered 10% staff discount, n some there stuff isnt bad. shame they dont go small enuff for me alot the time ( they only start at a size 8, and i need a size 6) apart from there wrangler jeans, which i love ( and a bargan at £25)

there home stuffs nice 2, ive already planned all my stuff for our new house
( as my parents announced last night were moving to cabridge, and i wont have my own floor anymore ans the new house will more than likely only have 2 floors, and we'll have one less bedroom, i have no idea where they propose i put all my stuff!!!) also got all my uni stuff planned hehe,

( to be honist i only work there coz out of the 15 jobs i applied for they were the only place that would let me work funny hours, i do alot of acting, so i need to swap shifts alot to fit with shows, which they said was fine, i can call up and swap shifts as much as i like, as long i work a set number of hours a week)

www.matalan.co.uk if ur bored take a look

    oh yeah and

"That's the problem with modern cars these days - almost every bit of them is packed with techno-wizardry and gadgets that mere mortals like human Service Technicians can't work out how to fix them any more"

Yeah, my job's really flexible too - I can work as many extra hours / evenings / weekends as I want for nothing as long as I do 9-5.30 Monday to Friday as well, lol !

So, if you've got more than 2 floors now, and new houses haven't been built with basements for a good couple of decades, do you live in a town house or have you got a big loft conversion to yourself?

I'm small and slim too. In fact, I've been told I've got a lovely figure for a woman, lol My streamlined profile makes me faster than all my mates on the football pitch though !

its not a town house as such,

hang on therres a pic of my huse somewehre on the net coz it used to be a showhome.

basically a townhouse has the lounge on the middlefloor, where as mine dosent, so its not technically a town house..

ok well they took my excact house off the net, it has ben soldfor 2 and a bit years and all, but this house is exact the same, give or take the flowers, and we have a double garage, where as that dosent apear to have anything
    http://www.bovishomes.co.uk/Developm...NWELB_A528.jpg

i know that coz ours is also a chauser.

basically ground floor, hall lounge toilet dining room kitchen,
middlefloor, main bathroom, bedroom1(dads stusy), bedroom2+ ensuite(spair room) bedroom 3+ensuite( mum and dads room)
top floor, which is my floor bedroom 4+ ensuite ( my bedroom) bedroom5/studio ( my study)

ps im absolutly rubbish at football, and shouldnt u have been at work when u posted the last message!

LOL, nah, I was on a late lunch break! I'm FAR too busy to chat to anyone when I'm at work but it makes a big difference to be able to get out of the office for an hour in the middle of the day

*just got in from work* im absolutly knackered, the sale goes live 2morrow, so every item in the sale ( which is nearly all the stock) had to have a new price label, a pink highlighted original barcode, a half price sticker and a swing tag. and were a big store, took hours.. ah well more money, and i saw loadsa clothes i like at half price, and half price, meansi can buy twice as much

yeah the house is pretty cool, were concidering buying the exact same house in cabridge, coz they have a development there2, we like the house. just dont like where we live atm!

if not my rents like the idea of a smaller house ( 3-4 bedrooms) but with like a little outhouse or an annex, where i can live, itll be like a 1-2 bedroom bungalow, completly seperate, with own lounge and kitchen, but on the same plot of land, which i like, and they like coz it means ill have still moved out, which is what i want, but ill still b at home ,which is what they want.

oh and just randomly, what do u work as?
