You could come round here and help me paint! I've been at it since just after 12.30! It's not even a big hallway, it's just that I've got the staircase to get round and 4 doorways and I had to do a clever bit of carpentry to make 2 walls out of one! It's so much brighter now that I've got a bright white ceiling. Walls are looking good but with all those doorways and stuff, there was tons of 'cutting in' to do around the edges so I'm still not even quite finished on the first coat yet. Already looking much better than before though
My housemate/lodger hates lilac but it's tough $h** - it's my house and I think it's come out really well!
Right, back to it then. Have just taken a 20-minute tea break. Felt the need to rustle up some very quick and easy dinner as well. Decided on an easter egg, lol
Phew, just finished. Finally. Eleven and a half hours! That must be a record. I'm definitely better at painting cars than hallways! Took three coats on the walls plus a whole ton of woodwork to paint (including the front door, which has seen better days) but I'm really pleased with it all now
If anyone else fancies trying it and wants a suggestion, I went for Dulux 'Violet White luxurious silk'

i want to paint this on my walls in pink an lilac ( itsa very bad scan, and has been on my note book for over a year so its faded quite alot unfortunatly)
It dosent show off my best work, actually its a pretty crap drawing, i just think the fairys really pretty ( in real life the skins actually peach, but for some reason as its pale the scanner hasent picked it up)
