DOH! I should have refreshed the page before posting an out-of-date comment!

I was gonna cook dinner but Prudence said she wanted fish 'n' chips. A bit bizarre. I didn't know llamas liked fish 'n' chips.

wooo new pc... told u didnt i, we always get our way!!!! ive managed to wire 5.1 speakers into my laptop, kinda, i only have a headphone slot, so i improvised and just pluged in one of the 3 leads, which oddly works, ive also managed to plug my wirless keyboard and mouse in in an odd fasion... no ps2 slots, just usb, but only the mouse has a usb connector, so i only plugged that in, yet the keyboard works aswell despite not being plugged in!!

so im happily semi functioning in the middle of the mess of boxes and computer apponants around me.

Blimey, what a load of hassle

The couriers tried to deliver my new laptop today. I left the house at 5.30am this morning to go to work and I got in just before 10 past 6 this evening. Isn't it just sod's law that they were supposed to deliver between 5pm and 9pm and they came 5 minutes before I got home! DOH! Will have to wait until tomorrow now. Just as well really. Setting up a new laptop isn't top of my priority list just yet.

I've got a week off work as of now (WOOHOO!) and the first thing I need to do is make a bit more progress on the work I'm doing on my car. Second priority after that is to dig out a border in my back garden and plant the big climbing clematis that my dad gave me on Sunday afternoon - think it needs to get out of the pot and into some good soil pretty sharpish.

Oi, Prudence, get away from that clematis!

i spoke to the tekkie, and to customer support, then my dad ( whos in scottland) called customer support, then dad called me and i passed himonto the tekkie, then dad spoke to customer support again, and then got a verbally bound contract from someone on the phone ( and yes he took there name, confermed theyd logged it on the database, logged the time etc) that we will have a new system in 5-10 days ( im guessing at more like 14 but lets c)

Remember that "5 to 10 days" normally means 5 to 10 WORKING days, which is actually 7-14 days, so you're probably right.
