    I'm Catholic... and nothing about them pisses me off more than the fact that the Catholic Church is totally against the use of birth control. Well not against all birth control just the methods that actually work.

    To give you an idea what the consequences the Catholic Church’s divine policies are going to be;
    Years back the Indian government decided it wasn't necessary to educate their people about AIDS, because they felt India's populace was morally superior enough that HIV and AIDS wouldn't be a problem.
    Well look at them now.

    F.Y.I.
    The All Powerful Supreme Being and Creator of the Universe will send you to an eternity of pain should you touch the genitals of someone of the same gender.

    Just thought you should know.

    IMHO, abortion should be allowed in certain cases. It should NOT be used as a form of birth control for young women.

    If you were raped by the old town drunk in the alley, would you be expected to give birth to this child and love it?? That would be a tall order and not expected - in my book. I know that I couldn't do it. Could you?

    Every case should be treated individually. There is no steadfast rule here.

    IMHO in those cases religion does not come into the equation......it never should......it's personal choice.

    Not to stray too far away from topic, but my belief is religion is all about faith. If you believe and have faith in tech, then Tech is your religion. Some believe that modern govt. will solve our problems and have faith in that...by my own definition, their religion is Govt. (and here in the States it seems more people believe the Govt. should have that control, I dont) I have faith. I dont need to show it to everyone because its personal. I dont think Abortion should be the first option. I do think that there are better ways to have birth control...And btw, there is truly only one TRUE way to not accidentally conceive a child, abstenence(sp) because I know! We (my wife and I) were doing a good job at birth control (my daughter) until one rambunctious even at our aniversery and then we had ALex, my new son! So, Supreme Being, Latex Slicker, you have control, not them.
