my ideal system is this cutom packard below

My ideal system would be a laptop. A Dell Latitude with a 14" screen - just like the one I've got at work. I really like those. SXGA resolution on a decent size screen yet still fairly light.

Would need to be a top-end Intel P4 with 1Gb RAM. Running Windows 2000 SP4 and Microsoft Virtual Machine 2005 with lots of different images for different operating systems and configurations for supporting my customers that I build PCs for .... and for having more answers for questions about Windows ME and XP on this forum!

Wouldn't need major graphics power but a big hard disk for all those images and a DVD-rewriter would be nice

Would definitely take advantage of their built-in wireless LAN and Bluetooth so that I can sit in the lounge or garden surfing the Intranet Superhighway (to a wireless 2Mb broadband router). Mmmmm, nice.

...... and some day, in the not-too-distant future, I'm sure someone will make some kind of wireless TV-out receiver. Then I'll be able to watch it all on my new 42" high-definition plasma without even having to plug anything in! How cool would that be eh?
