I need to build a database for keeping track of clients and their equipment that we inspect on a yearly basis. It preferably needs to be a tree view DB Client/asset/location then do an inspection report and print certificate of compliance with checklist and items to be repaired.
Anyone know of something out there that would fit or help build?
The only ones I've found so far deal with inhouse maintenance.

I actually work for a company which market a full software package similar to that but It would be far to much for what you need. Sorry I'm not much help here...anyone else got any ideas?

Wouldn't have thought the C of C Dbase itself wouldn't be much of a problem (I'd choose MS Excel). And linked to MS Word for the reports, however I'm totally new to Webby stuff but I'd have thought MS would have all the client/server webbery sorted and integrated into their products by now?

Owen you have no idea how many trial Db's I've downloaded. Getting close to 70 I reckon, but most are inhouse maintenance for trucking fleets etc.

Dal what do you mean far too much? If it has extra stuff thats no problem, price is not a problem within reason.

Tess, I work for the same company as D-A-L. Our software will do much more besides what you want but I think that it ought to do everything you need pretty comfortably as well without you having to worry about the other stuff that it can do off of different menus. It is based around a true Windows Explorer-style tree. You might need a customised report to be written to get the data out in exactly the format you want (although it does export to Excel if you don't mind tweaking it a bit afterwards).

In terms of cost, it quite a few hundreds ....... but that's extremely competitive for the kind of program that it is.
