The PC is approacing its sell by date
Seriously, something drastic will have to happen soon. PC heat output is set to reach the equivalent of that put out by a jet engine of similiar area in 10 years.
Now I know there are 2 sides to a cpu and sooner or later someones gonna ditch the zif socket and fit another cooling fan to the back. But we need an architectural change - shared processing or summat b4 all the PC's go up in flames on boot.
PS I have neat watercool design worked out - dead simple, dunno why no-ones done it b4, just need a milling machine now....
Thoughts please

Certainly has to be. Did you see this article at BBC News: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/3598836.stm

I can hear the Heatsink manufacturers boardroom whisperings and Machiavellian plottings from here... but I've got big ears?

um im assuming this is about heating :-) anyways my thoughts are theres some system fans that work well (ie: cpu fan, $35, average CPU temp 90-105°F) which is awesome. and theres practically fans and/or heatsinks for everything, videocard, hardrive, memory, cpu, case, pci, ECT. Not to mention thermal goo. I personally want watercooling for the silentness (to quiet down my computer during the night) but 1) too big, 2) cost to much, 3) hard to install and most tech's in my area dont support it.
