Hi folks, being away from the net for a while.

....and on coming back I try to do a search on unanswered Q's only to find a zillion news reports on.... newsy type stuff????

WTF is going on here? Is this a desperate attempt at pulling in punters? Is this a serious PC site or whut?

I know the site will benefit from income, but at least give me (oh it's me me me all the time innit?) the option of not seeing a squillion news posts. And yes I know I can search in categories, but I (me me me...) wanna search em all EXCEPT news.

Hi,

The news option is just a way of members being able to see the latest news on D-A-L, nothing more than that. Just search all forums and uncheck the Latest News one.

Update....

I have removed these news posts from the forum search...this may help you....

They still show up when you hit new posts button. I have 167 new posts listed and most are news.

Perhaps a little rethink DAL? Perhaps seperating the news section from the rest of the forum, or isolating it a bit?

Hmm, they shouldn't show up, k i'll ditch latest news and keep technology news..what do you guys think about that?
